The Borderlands

Civil Defense Perspectives (vol. 36 #3)

In Russian and all Slavic languages, Ukraine literally means “near the end of the territory” (U=near, Kraina=land, territory) and can be translated into as English “frontier lands.”

In the 9th century, Kiev was the capital of Kievan Rus, the ancestral homeland of Russia, whose rulers came from Scandinavia. In 988, its prince Vladimir was baptized in the old Greek colony of Khersonesos on the Crimean coast. His conversion marked the advent of Orthodox Christianity among the Rus and remains a moment of great nationalist symbolism for Russians.

Successive Mongol invasions beginning in the 13th century led the Russians to migrate north. For several centuries Ukrainian territory was a no man’s land on the margins of competing empires, a region of permanent contest and shifting borders (https://tinyurl.com/bdh98r4t).

The portion east of the Dnieper became Russian in 1686 and the portion west of that river in 1793, according to the 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica. Ukraine had experienced a brief period of independence in 1918–20, but portions of western Ukraine were ruled by Poland, Romania, and Czechoslovakia in the period between the two World Wars.

Inhabitants of this region named Cossacks (“freemen”) are basically a mixture of Poles/Lithuanians and Russians (with some Mongolian/Tatar blood). Yet this ironically named mixed race was enslaved and horribly abused by Poles, Russians, and Tatars, as portrayed in the classic romanticized novel Taras Bulba by Nikolai Gogol. After the fall of the Polish-Lithuanian empire the Russian czarist empire abused its half-brothers and half-sisters, and Soviet Russia abused them the most, especially under Stalin.

Austrian Germans who occupied a small part of Ukraine treated its autochthonous population the best, giving the possibility of Ukrainians/Cossacks aligning with Nazi Germany against Russians and Poles, which happened in the Bandera movement.

Bandera’s fighters committed unspeakable atrocities against Russians, Poles/Lithuanians, and Jews. This was revenge for hundreds years of abuse, but the acts were so atrocious in their animalistic, inhumane cruelty that even the ruthless Nazis were appalled. In the Volhynian slaughter during World War II, Ukrainians killed about 100,000 Poles, Galicians, and Russians in a barbaric and cruel fashion (https://tinyurl.com/ypcpj7yr).

After WWII, Ukraine became part of the Soviet Union as the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. An 1897 map shows the Donbass and territories east of the Dnieper and along the northern edge of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov as Novorossiya (“New Russia”). They became “Ukrainian” only by writ of two of history’s greatest evil monsters—Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin (https://tinyurl.com/ymcpfh2r).

“Ukraine is the Poland and Czechoslovakia of the present time—-an artificial state loaded with Russians and with no reason for existence in its present form,” writes Richard Maybury. “Poland had disappeared from the maps of Europe in 1795 and had no reason to come back in the fulsome extent provided by the Versailles Treaty except for Wilson’s courting of the Polish vote…. Similarly, the mongrel state of Czechoslovakia with its linguistic, religious and ethnic concoction had no historical basis or reason for existence at all” (ibid.).

After the fall of the Soviet empire, Ukraine was designated as an independent entity. Arguably, the Gorenvolk concept was more real. This was invented by occupying Nazi forces to try to convince inhabitants of the southern Podhale region that they were not Slavs, but descendants of wandering German tribes—in spite of the fact that from the late 19th century onwards, the region had been romanticized by artists as a cradle of Polishness.

The 2014 Maidan Putsch

Ukraine’s 2010 election showed a stark division between the pro-Russian and the Ukrainian nationalist regions of the country, but there was a tolerable electoral balance. Pro-Russian president Yanukovych won by a margin of 3.6%. The country was going bankrupt, and was making a deal with Moscow in preference to the EU and the extremely harsh conditions of an IMF loan.

To scuttle the deal with Moscow, a “regime change” was engineered, which David Stockman describes as a “$5 billion all-hands Washington undertaking,” with the cooperation of the U.S. State Department, the CIA, the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), NGOs, and favored Ukrainian oligarchs (tinyurl.com/bdz8z39v). The Maidan putsch, which deposed the duly elected president, is the subject of a theatrical documentary by Oliver Stone. Ukraine on Fire, quickly censored by YouTube, is available free on rumble (tinyurl.com/nhk57b84). This gives the history of Ukraine since World War I, with focus on how its current state relates to global interests.

Stockman writes that assistant secretary of state Victoria Nuland picked the new prime minister and his cabinet; four of 11 were “rabid anti-Russian neo-Nazis.” At the heart of the putsch, he writes, were organizations whose hero is Stepan Bandera, a collaborator with Hitler, who led the liquidation of Poles, Jews, and other minorities as the Wehrmacht headed to Stalingrad.

Before 2014, Ukraine received very little Western aid, but since then has gotten $15 billion, including $3 billion in military aid. The per capita GDP was $4,030 in 2013, $2,125 in 2015, and $3,663 in 2019 (https://tinyurl.com/myvc59x3).

Current president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, an actor who played being president on a TV series, Servant of the People, has reportedly accumulated $1.2 billion in a bank in Costa Rica during his 2.5 years in office (https://tinyurl.com/yk6utxxc).

Ukraine is a money-laundering haven for billionaire global elitists, who are striving to impose the New World Order. What an irony that globalists who intend a worldwide Holodomor should be headquartered in Ukraine! They have demonstrated that they want to destroy agriculture, and in many nations the privatization of waterways is being theorized, for the advantage of multinationals and with the aim of controlling and limiting agriculture activities. The pro-NATO government of Kyiv deprived Crimea of Dnieper River water for 8 years to prevent the irrigation of the fields and starve the people, writes Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò (tinyurl.com/bdhw3krj).

Zelenskyy’s performances in drag are consistent with the LGBTQ ideology, part of the “reform” agenda, along with gender equality, abortion, and the “green” economy, needed to gain the support of the World Economic Forum, Viganò writes.

End of the ‘End of History’

In the summer of 1989, Francis Fukuyama wrote the article “The End of History?” for The National Interest. He argued that a remarkable consensus on the legitimacy of liberal democracy as a system of government had emerged throughout the world, as it conquered rival ideologies like hereditary monarchy, fascism, and communism. He also argued that liberal democracy may constitute the “end point of mankind’s ideological evolution” and the “final form of human government” (tinyurl.com/yckwyuat).

But history has had its revenge. At the turn of the millennium, the U.S. was the undisputed economic and military hegemon. American elites were busy shifting the country’s industrial base to China. And the idea that the Western security order could be challenged was unthinkable, writes Malcolm Kyeyune.

“That world is now…truly dead. The economic model of deindustrializing the West while industrializing China has proved to be…suicidal. Globalism has broken down…. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine revealed the West to be incapable of deterrence….

“What has also become clear is that ‘wokeness’ isn’t just some ideology that can, or should, be fought in the marketplace of ideas. Every woke campaign amounts to…a demand for added managerial intermediation—…the constant creation of new positions for experts, consultants, and commissars.”

The new class warfare is between Canadian trucker Gord Magill’s “email caste” and people who deliver tangible goods.

There could still be a “unipolar” world—with the endpoint being a global technocracy replacing the U.S. hegemon.

Flashback

In April 2014, Richard Maybury predicted the crisis in Ukraine that would break out in February 2022; his explanation is reprinted in the April-May 2022 issue of Early Warning Report. He credits John Maynard Keynes for brilliant forecasting in his 1919 book Economic Consequences of the Peace—despite Keynes’s disastrous economics. One of the main insights was the importance of always trying to see something from the other person’s point of view. Keynes saw where the Treaty of Versailles would lead: the Allies were just as responsible for World War II as Hitler. Key points from 2014:

· People in Maybury’s “Chaostan” (much of Africa and Eurasia) do not forget. To them, 100 years ago was just yesterday. The Crimean crisis dates back to 1783 or earlier.

· The good-guys-vs.-bad-guys model leads to serious errors.

· The history of Russia is the history of invasions.

· Since 1990 NATO has been creeping ever closer, despite its promises not to do so.

· Only two of the postwar buffer states are left: Belarus and Ukraine; in 2008 NATO declared its intention to induct Ukraine.

· Russians may tolerate almost any degree of tyranny if they believe it keeps them safe from NATO.

· Washington has been poking a snake with a sharp stick and then howling when it does what snakes do.

Maybury now warns that if Putin is “taken out,” there will be more Putins. Both sides have nuclear arms, and with “dial-a-yield” weapons, there is no clear line between tactical and strategic. Time for the “power junkies” in NATO to dial it down and stop scaring Russians, he says.

The Ukrainian Military

The neo-Nazi Azov Special Operations Regiment is officially a part of the Ukrainian Army. The battalion has been trained by the U.S. Army for 8 years. In 2015 the U.S. House of Representatives passed an amendment banning all aid (including weapons and training) to the battalion because of its neo-Nazi past, but it was revoked under pressure from the CIA, writes Archbishop Viganò. The battalion has been involved in blatant human rights violations and mass killings of Russian-speaking persons in Donbass, states Viganò.

As Lev Golinkin writes in The Nation, post-Maidan Ukraine is the world’s only nation to have a neo-Nazi formation in its armed forces. (https://tinyurl.com/2wrau9k3).

Is NATO in Ukraine even though it is not officially a member? Yavoriv and Zhytomyr are de facto NATO bases, Maybury writes. NATO conducted cyber security training at Zhytomyr in September 2018 and described Ukraine as a “NATO partner.” Yavoriv has been a primary training and logistics center for supplying fighters and weapons.

Solzhenitsyn’s Perspective

Although best known for his exposure of the Soviet Gulag and his staunch anticommunism, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn welcomed Putin’s rise to power in 1999 and praised him for restoring Russia’s national pride. In 2007, Putin visited the ailing Solzhenitsyn at home to award him a state prize for his humanitarian work. In his 1990 essay “Rebuilding Russia,” Solzhenitsyn advocates a “Russian Union” encompassing Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, and the ethnic Russian parts of Kazakhstan (https://tinyurl.com/utf4s3ba).

The Soros View

“At the beginning of the 1980s, I embarked on what I call my political philanthropy. First, I set up a foundation in my native Hungary, and then I actively participated in the disintegration of the Soviet empire…. I set up a foundation in Russia, and then did the same in each of the successor states. In Ukraine, I established a foundation even before it became an independent country. I also visited China in 1984, where I was the first foreigner allowed to set up a foundation,” writes Soros.

“Approaching the age of 70, Putin feels that if he is going to make his mark on Russian history, it is now or never.”

“In July 2021, Putin published a long essay arguing that Russians and Ukrainians are really one people, and that the Ukrainians have been misled by neo-Nazi agitators. The first part of his argument is not without some historical justification…. But in the second part, it was Putin who was misled…. Many Ukrainians fought valiantly during the Euromaidan protests in 2014” (https://tinyurl.com/zr7459ur).

In 2015, Russia banned the Soros-funded Open Society Foundations and Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation.

Soros funded the Ukraine Crisis Media Center. In a 2014 interview, Soros described Maidan as “the most important development in this part of the world” in many years and said he was exerting his “utmost efforts” to support Ukraine (tinyurl.com/nhfseszf). Soros’s foundations also were deeply involved in the 2004 Orange Revolution (tinyurl.com/5n9aacyu), protesting the election of Yanukovych, and bringing in a pro-NATO president.

Russo-Ukraine War

We might be involved in World War III, with the Russo-Ukraine War as the first recognized battle. As we try to understand what is happening, we are looking through the fog of war, in which truth is the first casualty. Americans cannot hear either the Russian propagandists’ side, because RT.com is shut down, or Americans who distrust the official Administration narrative, because of lack of independent media. Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy is creating “unity” by banning 11 opposition parties and nationalizing the media (tinyurl.com/h244yar4).

In all wars, civilians suffer horribly—and are not necessarily fighting for a cause. Ukrainians are not “fighting for all of us” as political operatives say; “they are fighting to survive,” says Steve Bannon (tinyurl.com/yckpx4kp).

What is the war about? Is it “democracy” v. dictatorship?

Is it Russian President Vladimir Putin’s grandiose ambition to subjugate Ukraine, then move on to the next of the dominos to reestablish the Soviet empire? Americans hear this from both sides of the political spectrum. Sen Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), said it would be a good idea for someone to assassinate Putin, and radio talk show hosts Mark Levin and Sean Hannity apparently agree (https://tinyurl.com/2jtc3n8e).

In December 2016, Sen. Graham and the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), while visiting Ukrainian troops, advocated an offensive war against Russia. “I am convinced you will win. We will do everything we can to provide you with what you need to win,” Sen. McCain said (https://tinyurl.com/2p9mke7b).

Would a Ukrainian victory assure freedom and independence for proud patriots? Or would it simply preserve “a base of operations” used by Western globalists “for decadence, depravity, and cultural assault for the better part of two decades, but especially since 2014” (https://tinyurl.com/y3b7bc2x)?

Kiev (or Kyiv) has allegedly been the “ launch point for anti-White and anti-Christian propaganda leveled not only at Russians, but also Eastern European neighbors, such as Belarus, Hungary, and Poland,” facilitated by non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The International Republican Institute (IRI) and the Open Society Foundations (OSF) have aggressively sought the destruction of traditional Western civilization. Hungary’s Victor Orbán called George Soros, founder of the OSF, the “most corrupt man in the world.” Poland’s Andrzej Duda called activity emanating from Kyiv an “ideological hurricane” (ibid.).

Is Zelenskyy the leader of Ukraine? Or is the actual leadership a combination of George Soros and Langley?

A member of parliament stated on Fox News that Ukraine was fighting to maintain the NWO (tinyurl.com/4hdawvbh), while Putin, an alumnus of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders program (as is Zelenskyy), has been called a “traitor to the NWO.” In a 2021 speech at the Valdai International Discussion Club in Sochi, Putin stated that “woke ideology is destroying western civilization” (tinyurl.com/2p93yajv). He told the WEF that “the era linked with attempts to build a centralized and unipolar world order has ended…. The essence of this monopoly ran counter to our civilization’s cultural and historical diversity” (https://tinyurl.com/3amhst4k). WEF founder Klaus Schwab, however, believes we are on the cusp of the Great Reset, with control and actual re-engineering of humanity (tinyurl.com/4am86pf7).

The WEF officially states: “Our full solidarity is with Ukraine’s people.” It has frozen all its formerly close connections with Russia (https://tinyurl.com/3amc7f6n).

Putin’s Demands

Since the fall of the Soviet empire, NATO, in violation of its agreement not to do so, has been constantly moving toward Russia’s border, and Putin’s “red line” is Ukraine joining NATO.

In a Feb 24 speech, Putin said: “We will seek to demilitarise and de-Nazify Ukraine, as well as bring to trial those who perpetrated numerous bloody crimes against civilians, including against citizens of the Russian Federation” (tinyurl.com/yvf2stev).

Putin also alleges that the U.S. has a network of secret biowarfare labs in Ukraine, an assertion amplified by China. U.S. officials state that Soviet labs were cleaned up and now do non-weapons-related research (tinyurl.com/3xejyyma). However, U.S. under-secretary of state Victoria Nuland told Congress that “we are now in fact quite concerned that Russian troops, Russian forces, may be seeking to gain control of [those labs], so we are working with the Ukrainians on how they can prevent any of those research materials from falling into the hands of Russian forces should they approach” (https://tinyurl.com/y944t28p).

Recall that one justification for the U.S. invasion of Iraq was the presence of weapons of mass destruction. No WMDs were found. Might they have been moved?

The Chernobyl site, seized by the Russians on the first day of the invasion, (tinyurl.com/yckshscf) might hide many things.

Economic Warfare

The U.S. response, severe unprecedented economic sanctions that might be called a declaration of war, are intended to cripple the Russian economy and destroy its currency (and incidentally impoverish its people). The unintended consequences might bring down the financial structure of the whole world, destroy the dollar as the world’s reserve currency, drive Russia and China closer together, and cause worldwide famine.

The fallout from these weapons of financial destruction (WFD) may have a half-life of generations. They make all contracts with Russians (and others?) invalid. Russia and China have concluded that the U.S. is “agreement-incapable,” writes David C. Hendrickson. “When 5% of OPEC’s production was withdrawn from world markets in 1973 and 1974, it led to a quadrupling of oil prices. What will happen if 30% of tradable grain and 20% of fertilizer are removed (tinyurl.com/2p8rszpf)?

The Longer War

The unrecognized protagonists in the war, which has been brewing for decades, are global elites and their mercenaries versus humanity. Russia is the only world power that has not capitulated to the NWO and is strong enough to resist. But Putin may have fallen into a trap made of provocations that could destroy Russia along with the West. Or will Americans after the COVID and war panics have a great awakening instead of a Great Reset?

What Is Happening on the Ground?

There are diametrically opposed views about who is winning. But one thing that did not happen is the destruction of the stalled 40-mile long Russian convoy around Kyiv. It has seemingly been dispersed and redeployed (https://tinyurl.com/3ah5rvdw).

Ukrainian civilians are dying, and infrastructure is being destroyed. But who is doing the shooting? Allegedly, Ukrainians are attacking their own citizens and blaming Russians (tinyurl.com/2p9x6ufh, at about 6 min). The Ukrainian army, according to one report (tinyurl.com/36anyxp2), had 150,000 troops in Donetsk, shelling civilians. Some 70,000 civilians have reportedly been evacuated to Russia. Col. Douglas Macgregor stated that the Ukrainian army was using civilians as human shields (tinyurl.com/3k68f9xr). Reporting from a hotel room in Kyiv, writer Gonzalo Liro (“Coach Red Pill”) states that people are fleeing the Zelenskyy regime. “Zelensky is trying to get Ukrainian civilians killed for propaganda purposes in order to drag the US and Europe into the war” (tinyurl.com/s6pf9u8t).

“Neo-Nazi movements engaged in military and paramilitary actions operate freely in Ukraine, often with the official support of public institutions,” writes Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò. The neo-Nazi Azov battalion, with soldiers trained in the U.S., has been found responsible for mass killings of prisoners and systematic use of torture. It is officially part of the Ukrainian Army (https://tinyurl.com/bdhw3krj). With U.S. support, it has been running summer camp military training for children as young as six (https://tinyurl.com/2nf8whc7).

Viganò writes that global elites planned to provoke the conflict as a weapon of mass distraction that legitimizes new restrictions of freedoms in Western nations, according to the plans of the WEF’s Great Reset and the United Nations’ Agenda 2030: energy rationing, travel restrictions, replacement of paper money with electronic money, and the adoption of digital ID.

Sending weapons and soldiers to a nation that is not a part of either NATO or the European Union constitutes a de facto declaration of war on Russia, warns Viganò. By intervening in Ukraine in the name of the EU, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is violating articles 9, 11, and 12 of the Treaty of Lisbon and placing all countries at risk of retaliation.

Biden: There Will Be a New World Order

In a recent talk before the Business Roundtable, Joe Biden said: “We’re at an inflection point, I believe, in the world economy, not just the world economy, the world, that occurs every three or four generations…. [T]here’s going to be a new world order out there, and we’ve got to lead it. We’ve got to unite the rest of the free world in doing it” (tinyurl.com/3xtnsr4v).

Biden has also said that there will be food shortages. He urged the private sector to prepare for a cyberattack. He said that Putin might resort to chemical weapons in Ukraine. While Biden has said nothing about nuclear weapons, Putin has. The Swiss are checking their shelter stocks (https://tinyurl.com/bddz6ue8).

Essential Resources

More than 90% of U.S. supplies of neon for semiconductors come from Ukraine, while 35% of palladium comes from Russia. Interrupting supplies could have geopolitical consequences, Viganò writes (op. cit.). If a sudden shortage of raw materials from Russia could stop production, Taiwan might lose the “microchip shield,” encouraging Beijing to attempt annexation.

The prices of oil and wheat have doubled, of nickel and European natural gas have quadrupled. Prices of the three major fertilizers—phosphorus, potassium, and nitrogen—have tripled. Russia will make more money than ever before, states Doug Casey. As for imports, it can get everything it needs from China and other non-Western countries. For decades, the major U.S. export has been dollars. But why should anyone continue to use the fiat currency of a bankrupt government that is also an adversary?

As to exporting freedom or “democracy,” Casey writes that “the West is closing the ‘freedom gap’ with China and Russia. There’s less and less difference every day between Oceania, Eurasia, and Eastasia—the three megastates Orwell predicted in 1984 (https://tinyurl.com/473dr2cd).

With respect to sanctions, Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov said: “So the sanctions drive is going to continue, they are threatening the fifth wave, maybe there would be another wave, but we’re used to it. I will recall that, long before the Ukrainian crisis erupted…the sanctions were already imposed on us…. After 2014,… we did gain experience to rely upon ourselves.” In contrast, the West is a consumer of everything, on net producing nothing. There is no need to embargo the West; it is using the war to embargo itself (tinyurl.com/mry6vab4).

Flashback

President George H.W. Bush often spoke about a one-world government. On Sept 11, 1991, right after the Persian Gulf “crisis,” Bush said: “Out of these troubled times, our fifth objective—a new world order—can emerge” (tinyurl.com/2p8bhd46).

On Sept 11, 2001, under George W. Bush, the World Trade Center was brought down, leading to the PATRIOT Act, which paved the way for the new world order agenda by allowing unchecked surveillance on Americans (ibid.).

Why Collect DNA?

Out of curiosity about their roots, more than 12 million Americans have sent their DNA to companies like 23andMe, Ancestry.co.uk, or MyHeritage (tinyurl.com/w5wsdd2m). Unreliability (tinyurl.com/5fedpjd4) is not the only concern. Dianne Irving notes the connections of these companies with transhumanists. Is collecting and tracking DNA their real business?

With its more than 80 million health profiles, China has the largest DNA database in the world and might be using it to bioengineer ethnically targeted bioweapons (tinyurl.com/yckbafpx). Note that PCR tests collect a DNA sample.

Putin has expressed concern that foreigners are “purposefully” collecting biomaterials across Russia from people in different ethnic groups (tinyurl.com/2xcx9r6z).

For 23 years, the State of Indiana has been storing blood samples and DNA of newborn children without the consent of their parents, writes Twila Brase of Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom (https://www.cchfreedom.org/cchf.php/931/).

Test, Jab, Boost, Repeat

Winning office partly because of the promise to control the COVID-19 pandemic, Joe Biden unveiled his “new” initiatives on Dec 21, 2021 (tinyurl.com/4furne33). These include 500 million free rapid tests, support for overstressed hospitals, and more pressure to vaccinate and boost. Biden said it was a “patriotic duty” to get vaccinated, and warned of a winter of “severe illness and death” for the unvaccinated.

According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, we would need 2.3 billion tests per month to test every person over age 12 twice per week. Biden promised an additional 1,000 troops to hospitals—Mayo alone just fired 700 unvaccinated workers. How many boosters? A second one is already being discussed.

Though Biden promised there would not be a mass federal lockdown of schools and businesses, there’s a storm of masking and distancing requirements, de-facto vaccination passports, and termination of noncompliant workers, implemented by states, local jurisdictions, universities, and businesses. Biden is not backing down on federal vaccination mandates.

The COVID Reset

The changes that we are seeing at an accelerating pace were envisioned or possibly planned long ago.

The book Covid-19: The Great Reset by World Economics Forum founder Klaus Schwab and Monthly Barometer author Thierry Malloret was published in July 2020. It assesses the implications of this “crucial moment in history” on global economic, societal, geopolitical, environmental, and technological factors, from the macro down to the individual level. The desired outcome is a world that is “more inclusive, more equitable and more respectful of Mother Nature,” the authors write.

They admit that COVID-19 is not an existential threat like the Black Death. Yet it dramatically exacerbates pre-existing dangers. We’re at war with an invisible enemy of all humanity, but we have an unprecedented opportunity to “reimagine our world” —also called “radical rethinking.”

“Climate action failure” is at the center of interdependence (Figure 1, p 25), with a heavy line to “extreme weather.” Global and national governance failure are prominent nodes. Weapons of mass destruction are on the periphery in tiny print. A “siloed” approach to problems will not work to connect all the dots.

Looking back on November 2020 from the perspective of September 2021, it looks as though not much changed as time rocketed by. The narrative is still all about COVID-19. The promised warp-speed vaccines have arrived, but the fear and oppression remain. Governments’ unintelligible and often contradictory measures have only made the situation worse. Calls for 3rd, 4th, and 5th vaccinations show that they have failed.

The situation is unique in the history of the world, states German financial journalist Ernst Wolff in an Oct 19, 2019, essay (tinyurl.com/452vj3ry) and a August 2021 lecture on “Uncovering the Corona Narrative” (tinyurl.com/2x6kjwkr). Never before has the entire world been placed under such a coercive regime.

This is not because of SARS-CoV-2. The narrative of a deadly virus that is an existential threat cannot be sustained.

“Hacking the Software of Life”

The novel genetically engineered biologic agents called COVID-19 “vaccines” are not really new or untested, the manufacturers say. The technology has been researched for more than 20 years. Of course, protection against the SARS-CoV-2 virus could not have been studied if the virus didn’t yet exist or was unknown. But the genomics and bioengineering that have allowed their “warp speed” development are far advanced and go far beyond protection against emerging viral diseases.

While we are assured that the mRNA products do not affect the human genome, ModeRNA’s chief medical officer, Tal Zaks, stated in a TED talk that “we are actually hacking the software of life” (https://tinyurl.com/42wzfjss). ModeRNA describes our genes and their transcription into proteins as “our operating system” and its vaccine as a “computer operating system.”

Genetic engineering, along with robotics, molecular nanotechnology, and artificial intelligence, is seen as a tool for transforming humanity into a post-human species.

“The Covid-19 pandemic is providing gene-based vaccines a chance to break through into the global health market,” writes foreign policy analyst Christina Lin in The Times of Israel (tinyurl.com/cnfjmzr4). “Instead of injecting a piece of virus into a person to stimulate the immune system, the synthesized genes would be shot into the body whereby the genes are edited, deleted, added, to re-engineer human DNA to resist the disease [emphasis added].”

Bill Gates says that mRNA products turn your body into a vaccine factory that makes the antigen—viral spike protein, and your immune system learns to make antibodies (CDP September 2020;35(5)). Then “the cell breaks down the instructions and gets rid of them,” states the CDC (https://tinyurl.com/3c8jxm6r).

How Is the Body Controlled?

Gates also alluded to building the computer system (https://tinyurl.com/y3nb4y8k)—which requires hardware. Software is information, which sets electronic switches to “off” or “on” to perform the function programmed by the operator. This requires conductors, connectors, and electrical current. What is the equivalent biological hardware?

We do not understand the function of most of the human genome, or of the mechanisms that turn the expression of various genes “on” or “off.” Nor do we know how specific behavior is activated in spontaneously acting organisms, nor how the cells in the entire body are coordinated to support a function.

We are familiar with chemical messengers called hormones, with electrical impulses carried by nerves, and with chemical neurotransmitters at synapses. But there are other signaling methods, including light, and intense research on how to use them.

From a 2019 review of “Light-mediated control of Gene expression in mammalian cells” (tinyurl.com/2jy6zhrb), we learn the following: “Taking advantage of the recent development of genetically-defined photo-activatable actuator molecules, cellular functions, including gene expression, can be controlled by exposure to light.” Authors state the need for “tools to manipulate gene expression at fine spatial and temporal resolution.” They also discuss artificial light control of cellular function using genetically encoded light-sensitive actuator molecules and a light-sensitive ion channel, Channelrhodopsin-2 (ChR2). The “gene encoding ChR2 can be delivered or expressed in defined sets of neurons by virus vectors or transgenic strategies.” This can be used for “inducing temporally-precise activation/inhibition of targeted neurons.” Authors anticipate that gene expression systems “will be applied to broad fields of neuroscience to understand various brain functions…, including learning and memory.”

Optogenetic signaling has been used to change memory engrams in mice and reverse the fear/reward conditioned responses associated with them (https://tinyurl.com/8e6jd7ew). It is possible to implant false memories and generate a behavioral fear response (Science 7/26/13).

The specific type of gene expression control system also regulates the degradation rate of mRNA.

How does one deliver light to the tissues? In vivo experiments have implanted optical fibers, but these tether animals to limited places and restrict their behaviors. Small implantable light-emitting diodes (LED) have been used in cable-free optogenetic experimental setups (ibid.). Light-emitting proteins (luciferases) in the body are other possibilities. SM-102, listed as an ingredient in ModeRNA “vaccine” is an amino lipid nanoparticle commonly used to transfer luciferase mRNA, which circulates through the whole body for bioluminescent expression. Note that lipid nanoparticles penetrate the blood-brain barrier.

Synthetic, light-receptive molecules—or photoswitches—can be used to tap into native signaling, as at GABA, glutamate, and acetylcholine receptors, according to a 2017 review from the University of California at Berkeley (tinyurl.com/9c33r4a6).

Have you never heard of optogenetics—“biological technique that involves the use of light to control neurons that have been genetically modified to express light-sensitive ion channels”? Type it into Google and get 3.8 million hits.

Other signaling methods are also advanced. Charles Lieber of Harvard figured out how to get virus-size transistors into cells by coating them with a lipid layer (tinyurl.com/3yru4z6e).

In 2017, it was suggested that magnetogenetics could become the new optogenetics (https://tinyurl.com/sy72vhyr), activating neurons deep in the brain, as magnetic fields pass through organic tissues. Polyethyleneglycol-coated synthetic magnetite nanoparticles (Fe₃O₄) delivered to the brain in mice produced neuron activation with a radiofrequency stimulus. It may be possible to co-opt ferritins from species, such as chitons, known to generate magnetite.

Sonogenetics uses ultrasound to control cells that have been genetically modified with ultrasound-sensitive ion channels, to investigate intact brain circuits, and to modulate mammalian brain activity (https://tinyurl.com/saups8s7).

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) aims to “identify the conductor of [the] brain’s neural orchestra and begin to decode the score” (tinyurl.com/p2vz5r9t). It also wants to “jolt the nervous system with electricity, lasers, sound waves, and magnets” (tinyurl.com/3k69rz59). Just to control prostheses and cure disease? Or to replace the conductor?

Does this give a new meaning to the Gates population control agenda? Do these “vaccines” install hardware and software?

Genetic Scissors and Gene Drive

Genetic editing involves inducing double-stranded breaks in DNA and replacing the excised portion with a desired sequence. A gene drive can change inheritance patterns so that all offspring get the altered gene that previously might have been inherited as an autosomal recessive. The stated purpose is to control invasive species or eradicate disease vectors such as mosquitoes. One danger is escape to non-targeted populations. Progress has been greatly accelerated through CRISPR/Cas9 technology.

CRISPR is an acronym for “Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats.” Cas9 is a special CRISPR-associated nuclease (Cas9) that chops off a piece of DNA. The nuclease is directed to its target sequence by a short RNA fragment known as a guide RNA (gRNA). Once scientists learned how the CRISPR system worked in bacteria infected by viruses, they figured out how to reprogram it to allow efficient editing in any species (https://tinyurl.com/6t9rtc34).

Could this be used for “customizing the human race”? In December 2015, an international group of scientists called for a moratorium on making inheritable changes to the human genome (https://tinyurl.com/ytrda3mv). However, in February 2016, British regulators approved a gene-editing experiment on human embryos (https://tinyurl.com/2nadndk2). The 2020 Nobel Prize in chemistry was awarded to Emmanuelle Charpentier, now at the Max Planck Unit for the Science of Pathogens in Berlin, and Jennifer Doudna, at UC Berkeley, for developing the CRISPR–Cas9 gene-editing tools that researchers hope to use to alter human genes to eliminate diseases (tinyurl.com/ysrc49up).

In Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, the technique is being used to develop novel population control strategies. Mosquitoes harboring the transgenes were readily identified by red fluorescent expression in their abdomen (https://tinyurl.com/tf56uyxz).

In 2011, two London geneticists got an inserted gene to reach 85% of a mosquito population. But “hijacking evolution” raises key questions. “Gene drives have the potential to alter…entire ecosystems” (Science 7/11/19).

In May 2021, genetically engineered mosquitoes have been released in Florida (https://tinyurl.com/342f79z6).

Transfection

The delivery of nucleic acids into cells is called transfection. The programmable guide RNA (gRNA) and Cas9 can be introduced as either DNA, RNA, or pre-complexed RNA and protein called ribonucleoproteins (RNPs). It can be accomplished by physical, chemical, or viral-mediated methods.

“Because the genes are integrated into the cellular genome, they will be passed down to future generations of cells after cell division. The expression of Cas9 and/or guide RNA genes can be either inducible (e.g., by a trigger, such as a drug) or constitutive (occurring at all times)” (https://tinyurl.com/h98nrx7u).

A two-stage process might be used. An inactive fragment might be delivered in an injection. A second fragment transfected by a virus might then combine with it and perform a gene incision when activated by light.

Adenovirus is the most common vector, used by J&J and AstraZeneca. Polyethyleneglycol (PEG) attached to lipid nanoparticles [used by Pfizer and ModeRNA] protects the RNA against degradation and can facilitate nuclear entry (https://tinyurl.com/2y9vudvb).

· Charles Lieber (see p 1) was indicted in 2020 (https://tinyurl.com/29vbbnf3) for failing to disclose payments from the Chinese Communist Party to build a nanotechnology laboratory in Wuhan. Trial is pending (https://tinyurl.com/8f9wy95m).

· Robert Langer of MIT, co-founder of ModeRNA whose holdings in the company now top $1 billion, (tinyurl.com/6vh74wt6) worked with Lieber on a number of patents.

· Funding sources for the COVID “vaccine”- related technology and genetic engineering include DARPA, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the late Jeffrey Epstein.

#MagnetChallenge

A search on “#MagnetChallenge” turns up sites debunking the viral videos showing magnets sticking to COVID jab sites. Fact-checkers assure us that the jabs do not contain metals, chips are not magnetic, and it’s a conspiracy theory to discourage vaccination. But did magnets really stick to some 40% of vaccinees in Laguna Beach (tinyurl.com/cf9uahyw)? Are all these people lying (tinyurl.com/cfeuw25v)? Check the fact-checkers yourself. If true, the phenomenon demands an explanation.

The Funvax Proposal

In 2004, geneticist Gene Hamer wrote The God Gene: How Faith is Hardwired into our Genes. In 2005, Bill Gates presented his Funvax proposal to the Pentagon (tinyurl.com/2t3hjw2r). He stated that religious fundamentalism was correlated with expressions of the VMAT2 gene and suggested that vaccinating against that gene, as with a respiratory virus, could prevent terrorism.

Insurrection?

The incursion into the Capitol building on Jan 6 is frequently called an “insurrection” by the media. A very strange one indeed. There were zero guns confiscated. There was only one violent death: an unarmed woman, Ashli Babbitt, was shot by the Capitol police. There was no attempt to remove and replace the sitting government, but rather a demand to investigate allegations of election fraud before certifying the results. There were no hostages, no bombs, no incendiaries—a stark contrast with the attacks by Islamic terrorists, Antifa, or the Weather Underground in the late 1960s and 1970s.

Following the (Fake) Science

If we speak of “science” today, we are speaking mostly of government-funded science. Since 1940, the U.S. population has expanded less than 3-fold, while the federal government has exploded 28-fold (Richard Maybury, Early Warning Report, December 2020) and dominates most enterprises. Academic centers are dependent on federal funding for their research, even if they also have a private endowment, and faculty dare not take a politically incorrect position. “Science in the public square” has led to Lysenkoism in “climate science” (tinyurl.com/yyhn95mn). What about medicine? During the COVID-19 pandemic, attempts to post information on social media, even “nextdoor” neighborhood news, may be blocked or require a link to official sites.

While patients have been dying since January or even earlier, a report on autopsy results appeared only in May. A startling 58% of 12 patients examined in Hamburg had undiagnosed deep vein thrombosis, and the direct cause of death in four was massive pulmonary embolism (https://tinyurl.com/y8xenf4x). Of course, mechanical ventilation cannot oxygenate the blood if the blood can’t get to the lung.

Vaccines v. COVID

It appears that President Trump bet everything on a vaccine to be achieved at “warp speed.” And many others have suspended normal life and hunkered down awaiting the arrival of the silver bullet that will defeat the virus.

Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), stated at a conference at Yale University that masks and social distancing would be needed, and people would not be able to go wherever they wanted, before the end of 2021—even if a vaccine was approved in December 2020.

CDC Director Robert Redfield, M.D., in testimony before a Senate appropriations committee, said, “I might even go so far as to say that this face mask is more guaranteed to protect me against COVID than when I take a COVID vaccine, because the immunogenicity may be 70%…. And if I don’t get an immune response, the vaccine is not going to protect me. This face mask will” (https://tinyurl.com/y4xbopnh).

Monica Gandhi, M.D., M.P.H., of the University of California at San Francisco said that universal masking could become a form of “variolation” that would generate immunity (NEJM, 10/29/20, https://tinyurl.com/y4bf9c8l). In other words, the mask reduces the inoculum so that a person is more likely to develop natural immunity without getting very sick.

Awesome biotechnology is enabling rapid development of novel vaccine platforms, which, it is hoped, will enable containment of emerging epidemics as well as COVID-19 (see p 2).

Surviving Epidemics: a History

Pestilence has been a constant threat throughout human history. Sometimes, entire populations have been virtually wiped out, but spread was limited by geographic isolation. Isolating infected persons (leper colonies, tuberculosis sanatoria, quarantines), vector control (swamp drainage, DDT, other insecticides, rodent control), and sanitation have saved millions. Prophylactic antibiotics have protected exposed people from tb or meningitis.

Vaccinators have claimed that vaccines are the greatest public health development in history and have saved “untold millions.” Looking at a visual history of the great pandemics (https://tinyurl.com/r4xhshy), the only one that was arguably defeated by vaccination was smallpox. There was no vaccine against the influenza pandemic of 1918-1920, which killed as many as 50 million people. (The annual toll from smallpox was around 400,000.) Constant influenza vaccination campaigns have not eliminated annual outbreaks.

The elimination of smallpox involved aggressive worldwide efforts to identify every case. The disease was readily diagnosed by the rash and the odor. COVID-19, with many asymptomatic victims and manifestations often indistinguishable from a common cold or influenza-like illness, is far more challenging.

The modern smallpox vaccine emerged in the 19th century. The World Health Organization (WHO) eradication campaign lasted from 1958-1977. Smallpox is said to be the only human disease ever to be eradicated.

Will COVID-19 be the second? With factories in production even before approval and military resources to deliver vaccine and –80° freezers for mRNA vaccines, it shouldn’t take 20 years.

The COVID Vaccine Race

Bill Gates, whose foundation is the biggest funder of vaccines in the world, writes: “One of the questions I get asked the most these days is when the world will be able to go back to the way things were in December before the coronavirus pandemic. My answer is always the same: when we have an almost perfect drug to treat COVID-19, or when almost every person on the planet has been vaccinated against coronavirus.”

He observes that the fastest a vaccine has ever been made is 5 years, and the goal for COVID is 18 months. The technology is vastly different: “Rather than injecting a pathogen’s antigen into your body, you instead give the body the genetic code needed to produce that antigen itself. When the antigens appear on the outside of your cells, your immune system attacks them—and learns how to defeat future intruders in the process. You essentially turn your body into its own vaccine manufacturing unit.” He writes that the platform works and that it generates immunity. It is “a bit like building your computer system and your first piece of software at the same time” (tinyurl.com/ydyrrx6m).

The first vaccine approval will be followed by “chaos and confusion,” writes Carl Zimmer (NY Times 10/12/20, https://tinyurl.com/y6km7gan). It will certainly not be an “on-off” switch. For testing, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson (J&J, Janssen), and Moderna are using the government’s “harmonized approach” and the NIH network of clinical testing sites. Pfizer is running independent tests, and apparently expects an emergency use authorization (EUA) from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) soon. Vaccinators able to administer a tray of 975 shots from Pfizer over a short period are being sought, according to a town hall presented by the Arizona Medical Association.

Even moderately effective vaccines will be a huge help in reducing COVID-19, Zimmer writes—but only if enough people take them, and only if they realize they could still get sick. (The FDA’s goal of 50% has an error range of ±15%.) “We’ll have to continue to use a mask for some of these vaccines,” said Dr. Poland of the Mayo Clinic. “Vaccine hesitancy” could be a big problem, say Arizona public health officials. As few as 50% of U.S. adults are committed to receiving a COVID vaccine, states Howard Bauchner, editor-in-chief of the JAMA Network (JAMA 10/6/20).

One survey showed that only 44% would willingly get the vaccine, and if it only reduces disease incidence by 50%, it is “unlikely to achieve the herd immunity that many consider necessary to ‘reopen the country’” (JAMA 10/6/20).

Vaccine advocate Paul Offit, M.D., said that hesitancy was “somewhat understandable,” given the “frightening” language used to describe vaccine development. Terms such as “warp speed” may suggest that haste might trump safety considerations. He offered advice on how to reassure people about that, while saying that “fear [of the virus] works” to “convince people that vaccination is wise” (https://tinyurl.com/yx8mhwbu).

On Nov 9, Pfizer announced a success rate >90% “in the first 94 [of 44,000] subjects who were infected by the new coronavirus and developed at least one symptom (tinyurl.com/y4xbynb6). “Success” means reducing mild cold symptoms, not deaths or infections (https://tinyurl.com/y2nos9p9).

Federal Vaccine Allocations Top $9 Billion

Seven companies are each receiving $1–$2 billion to manufacture 100 million or more doses (https://tinyurl.com/yy7ff7dm). Sanofi Pasteur and GSK’s vaccine delivers the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein via a baculovirus that normally infects insect cells. Pfizer and BioNTech’s vaccine uses messenger RNA that codes for spike protein, packaged inside tiny balls of fat. Novavax uses moth cells to make spike proteins, which are attached to a synthetic particle and injected with a saponin adjuvant (tinyurl.com/y53xyomh). Janssen uses an uncommon human adenovirus to deliver antigen. AstraZeneca and Oxford use a chimpanzee virus. Not having seen it before, human immune systems have not developed antibodies to this virus. Moderna’s vaccine, like Pfizer’s, uses mRNA. The mRNA vaccines must be stored at –80°C (Pfizer) or –20°C (Moderna) and last only days in the refrigerator. Merck and its collaborator IAVI use a vesicular stomatitis virus, engineered to be harmless, to express spike proteins. This virus was used as part of the Ebola vaccine licensed in December 2019. Unlike others, the Merck vaccine is to be administered orally and is said to require only a single dose.

COVID-19 vaccines designed by Astra-Zeneca, Janssen, and and Novavax will be manufactured by Emergent BioSolutions, formerly Bioport, the sole supplier of anthrax vaccine. This vaccine allegedly caused many severe chronic illnesses in U.S. troops.

“The Pentagon is locked in a dependent relationship with BioPort Corp.,” said Rep. Christopher Shays (R-Conn.) in 1999. Emergent now controls many biodefense products (it acquired smallpox vaccine in 2017) and supply lines. “It has strategically placed itself to be, let’s just say, the company that can’t fail” (https://tinyurl.com/y37t4fcz).

Threshold for Approval

These vaccine candidates are all based on new technologies. In the phase 3 trials, only about 150-160 people will have to fall ill with COVID-19 to be able calculate the effectiveness of the vaccine. The FDA has said it will approve any vaccine that is shown to be safe and to prevent infection or severe symptoms in at least half of those who are vaccinated (tinyurl.com/yy7ff7dm).

How safe does a vaccine need to be? One out of every three people had side effects from the smallpox vaccine bad enough to keep them home from school or work, according to Gates, and “a small—but not insignificant—number developed more serious reactions” (op. cit.). That was about 1 in 1,000 serious reactions and 1 in 1 million deaths in primary vaccinees in the 1960s (https://tinyurl.com/y4lmjafd).

Virtually all recipients of the second dose of Moderna’s mRNA 1273 vaccine had a systemic reaction, mostly mild or moderate (NEJM 7/14/20). With some 60,000 subjects enrolled in vaccine trials, half receiving placebo, a risk of much less than 1 in 10,000 might well escape detection.

During the smallpox era, the overall case fatality rate in unvaccinated individuals was around 30%. The overall symptomatic fatality rate for COVID-19 is estimated at around 1.3% (Health Affairs 5/5/20, tinyurl.com/y2zgvo3q), ranging from <1% in persons under age 50 to around 15% in persons over age 80% (tinyurl.com/y66gzcuw). Because so many cases are asymptomatic, the infection fatality rate (IFR) is far lower, around 0.14% according to WHO (tinyurl.com/yxmlzomt). Thus, the risk: benefit ratio was far more in favor of vaccine in the smallpox era.

Smallpox Gone Forever?

Historical research demonstrates that smallpox occurred in severe outbreaks that were followed by the periods of inactivity. The mechanism of this sinusoidal pattern remains unknown.

Smallpox lesions were identified in Egyptian mummies from the 3rd century B.C. but not in earlier or later mummies. It might have caused the Antonine Plague (165–180 A.D.) and the Plague of Cyprian (251–266 A.D.). It re-emerged in Europe in the 6th and 7th centuries A.D., mysteriously disappeared until the 11th century, was almost absent for about 300 years, re-emerged again in 15th century, waxed and waned but wreaked havoc in the 18th century. Practiced first in Asia and Africa, variolation spread to the Ottoman Empire around 1670 and then to the rest of Europe within a few decades (https://tinyurl.com/y8qgddrp).

While vaccination supposedly caused its final demise (except in biowarfare factories), what “eradicated” smallpox during all those times when it was not active? What if vaccination merely speeded up the natural cycle of this disease? Certainly, Egyptians were not familiar with vaccination. Maybe our belief in the effect of vaccines is a post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy.

George Bernard Shaw wrote: “During the last considerable epidemic at the turn of the century, I was a member of the Health Committee of London Borough Council, and I learned how the credit of vaccination is kept up statistically by diagnosing all the revaccinated cases (of smallpox) as pustular eczema, varioloid or what not—except smallpox.”

Monkeypox, a zoonosis caused by an orthopoxvirus with symptoms similar to but less severe than smallpox, is occurring with increasing frequency in Africa as smallpox vaccination ceased and immunity to poxviruses waned (tinyurl.com/yyt28uc6).

Notes on Transmission, Immunity and Vaccines

Natural immunity: According to a letter from health professionals to Belgian authorities (tinyurl.com/yxl2aje6), a strong immune system relies on normal daily exposure to microbes. Excessive hygiene can have a detrimental effect on our immunity.

Up to 60% of noninfected people have T-cells reactive to SARS-CoV-2, probably from past colds from related viruses (ibid.).

Transmission via objects (e.g. money, shopping carts) has not been proven (ibid.)

In 10 years, only three vaccines with >50% efficacy have been developed. Efficacy is very poor past age 75 (ibid.).

Immunopathology: Vaccines developed against SARS-CoV-1, including those using a spike (S) protein preparation, induced neutralizing antibodies and protection against infection, but challenge with the virus induced immunopathologic changes in the mouse lung. Caution is indicated with human vaccines (PLoS One 4/20/12, https://tinyurl.com/yx2wl8jr).

Safety: AstraZeneca and J&J vaccine trials were paused then restarted. One volunteer experienced transverse myelitis. A man in his 20s suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and transverse venous sinus thrombosis. The latter was attributed to a stroke unrelated to the vaccine (tinyurl.com/yx9wl75e). A 28-year-old AstraZeneca volunteer died; he had received the “placebo,” the established meningococcal vaccine (tinyurl.com/y3qabhvm).

Prevalence: About 13–14% of Americans have likely been infected with COVID-19. About 80% have probably been asymptomatic (https://tinyurl.com/y5dsukdb).

COVID-19 is Not Untreatable

The rationale for draconian, destructive measures to “slow the spread” of SARS-CoV-2, the dreaded “novel” coronavirus, is that the disease is untreatable. The Infectious Diseases Society of America, (IDSA, idsociety.org) provides no guidance for home treatment, and many if not most physicians send patients away, advising them to go to the emergency room if extremely ill and probably in need of hospitalization.

In a Jul 8 statement, unchanged as of Sep 8, IDSA implores the public to “take the only simple and effective steps we have to slow the spread of the coronavirus and save lives—key among them, wear a mask…. We are all in the fight against this pandemic together. As infectious diseases and HIV specialists responding to the continuing impacts of COVID-19, we call on all people to do their part to end this public health crisis.”

(Parenthetically, IDSA not only declines to treat chronic Lyme disease, but denies its existence and tries to prevent others from treating it also.)
